About our Classes

 

You can join on your own or come with friends.

Initial classes are aimed at beginners and novice WCS dancers. At the end of our first eight-week course a Novice/Improvers class will be introduced, in addition to the start of a new eight-week beginners course.

These classes are designed to give you a thorough grounding in the basic 5 WCS patterns but will also include starter steps and throw-outs.

  • Touch Turn
  • Basic Whip

 

However, if you already dance West Coast Swing you are more than welcome to come and join in the fundamentals or intermediate classes or turn up later for the social dancing.

At the end of the forth and eight weeks,   there will   be workshops to consolidate what you have learned in the classes so far. There will also be an opportunity to attend a Freestyle event locally to further practice your social dancing.
